SILVER CROSS HEALTH CENTER | HOMER GLEN FREESTANDING EMERGENCY & IMAGING CENTER

LOCATION: HOMER GLEN, ILLINOIS

30,300 sf

Replacement of an existing 7,500 sf Medical Office Building with a larger Medical Office Building that is 30,300 sf. The project includes phased construction of the new facility and relocation of the existing physician practices so as to limit any lost time to the practices.  The new two-story facility has a Freestanding ED, Diagnostic Imaging Center and 14,000 sf of general practice physician suites.

The ED and Imaging on the ground floor were built to institutional occupancy and general practice physician suites and specialty clinics were built to business occupancy on the second floor. The emergency department is a direct extension of the main hospital emergency department and is staffed by all of their same board certified emergency medical team staff and is open 24/7.  After a few short months, the facility doubled the projected ED visits established in their business plan.

A portion of the building was left as shell space for future growth and the rest of the building houses physician offices for family practice physicians, pediatrician, podiatrist, rheumatologist, spine surgeon and general surgeons. The imaging center includes; and MRI, CT Scan, X-ray, Laboratory and EKG services. The facility also features preventative cardiac care with three different heart-screening options.
